Witch's Broom - 6x900s added

aka NGC 6960 in Cygnus...

This is my fave part of the Veil Nebular.... but have never had this sort of FOV!!

When I was initially framing, the indications were I could also get a bit of Pickering's Triangle (NGC 6979) so I tried.... got some of it, but will be better as a target on it's own...

As the spacing on the 102mm is about 2mm too long, I am getting ever-so-slight curvature drop off at the edge.... so will try this target again with it more centralised....

All in all,  am pleased for just 5 x 900s when it doesn't seem dark!

Details:
Atik 16200 camera, Baader (Barrrder, Chris) Ha filter, guided with a Lodestar x2, Altair 102mm Triplet, all on the CE60-EC mount.
5 x 15 minute exposures, processed in PixInsight (calibrated, stacked, DBE. STF Historgram, slight curves, ACDNR noise reduced) - resized 1000 pixels across for here.

Phil

UPDATED

Yeah, I know... but I do like Narrowband.... and the Veil is around at this time of year....

There are a number on here who now swear by PI (swore at it, when learning )

It you take it in baby steps, using the excellent tutorials (especially from Harry Page) then it's very worth it's price... I've often said that the "Dynamic Background Extraction" or DBE (or magically make an unevenly illuminated field look flat!) is worth the price in itself!

Amazing picture with such clarity.  I prefer PI to PS for astrophotography.  I use it for both calibration and processing.
