M17 Swan / Omega: Canon 6D mod + RC8
« on: 23:04:52, 08 August, 2017 »
This was the second light of my Canon 6D, I wanted something more HA rich to really give it some juicy photons, and I'm lucky enough to have a big gap between two low houses from backyard and I can see as low as M17.

I used for this the new Pixinsight and my refined workflow for the Canon, allowing me to bring out a lot more faint nebulosity. This is about two hours of 8 mins subs, very happy with the result and showing clearly the HA sensitivity of the camera. I'm pleased in particular by the different subtle colour differences that is possible to get with a one shot modded camera..I was afraid it would be all red, instead there's a lot of different colours information!

Nicely done. It does look a little 'hot' in the very middle.

Uhhm yes I checked the subs and indeed there's there a bit more detail...weird as I never clip or move the highlights...will try and see if I can recover it a bit :)
