Title: Saturn with ears
Post by: Ian Straton on 22:42:39, 07 July, 2017
An attempt to show the source of Galileo's confusion about Saturn! upper image Shot with altair GPcam at prime focus on an 8 inch newt with barlow lens.  best 10% stacked in auto-stakkert, wavelets in registaxs.   Lower image blurring to simulate Galileo's likely view and combination done in photoshop.

Bit of a story and a video clip are available on my blog.

Good one,

Tough target considering how low it is.
