Title: still haveing driver problems help needed

hello every one ive got windows 8 on my laptop i use to autoguide my mount    ive got ascom platform 6.3  i had drivers for my g2 8300 camera on a usb dongle but driver s not working  even from the as com website but the camera came   with sips software and that works as normal  any sugestions   what  i can do or my lap top is 64 bit system  cheers

Have you installed the G2 8300 Ascom drivers I linked to in the last thread? These are separate from the device drivers that Windows needs.

Go the usb dongle  that came with camera 
 Ascom is on the dongle   high light it
List showing  ascom gxeth set up 
Ascom usb 
X2 camera gx usb set up
 3 party software ckick on that list showing ascom astroart maxjm dl  the sky x windows
Asckm gx usb 64    im confused now  i could try earlar asco. Platform  thats all for now

I would download the Ascom driver I linked to in the other thread though its probably the Ascom GX USB 64 that you need to install. I would not try and go back to previous Ascom versions as it can cause issues.

Ok chris ive tried  asco gx usb 64  ive tried every thing ive reinstalled the gx driver still no joy i might try older version asco 6.2 just to see what happenes and ill go on that link  you did  to see what happenes    see you soon

Do you get an error when you try to connect to the camera via Ascom or does the camera just not appear in the Ascom chooser?

Well I have just installed that Ascom Driver on my Imaging Computer and it shows under the Ascom Chooser. What software are you trying to use to connect to it?

hi chris  sequence generater pro the software that came with camera    sips software works as normal    this did show in chosser ascom moravinst ccd.gxcamera   but not showing in sg pro ive never had trouble beforwith other camera drivers we ll work it out  the driver shows in ad and remove control panel when i load it from the usb that came drivers that came with the  camera  but not showing in s g pro arrrrrr  i give in

that is weird. That driver shows up in my version of SGPro as Gx USB Imager and GX USB Guider.

So if you select GxUSB as your camera can you not then connect to it in SGPro? If thats the case then its a questioner the SGPro folks. Have you tried connecting to it in APT?

Hi cris when i select gx usb imager   
Message sbows  incompatable driver moravinst.ccd.gxcamera  in apt still dont show my camera    i could try  ascom platform 6.3 again  remove the one on my pc  now   strange   mine

Now we are getting somewhere. Ascom is right, you just have the wrong driver for your camera installed. Try this one http://www.gxccd.com/download?id=389&lang=409 (http://www.gxccd.com/download?id=389&lang=409)

apt looks like its pic kt camera as gx usb64   ill try sg pro now see what happens ill let you know

Sg pro picks up camera as gx usb 64   sg pro dosent show the the camera name  but things are right now thanks for the help

It drove me mad for three days it never came to my mind it was the wrong  moravian  driver  thanks
