Yeah, I know, if I was in the wrong state of mind I could definitely see a nice TEC160 in my near future... and maybe more.  ;)   But I abhore lawsuits, I went to great lengths in my accident settlement from last year to impress on my lawyer that I wanted what was fairly owed to me and not a penny more.  Even though I still suffer from the afterefects of being turned into a cannonball at 70mph.

However, I will pursue the matter with the authorities as far as the privacy issue, if I manage to turn up a bit more conclusive evidence pointing to his site.  I do intend to have him fully prosecuted for that at least, if he is indeed sending private information without consent.

Dave, you back yet or still working?  ;)

Eddie, a horse? Most likely a donkey's uncle.

Lol Jay, I can hope I'd have that kind of power but no, I have no idea.  Maybe there's been a revolution though?  :D

To post a bit of an update though.  It appears that suspicious email I was looking at did not come from astromart after all.  They do indeed use a an email forwarding server, but the suspicious address (which I fat fingered when I did whois and thought it was a spam site) actually belonged to the guy I was trying to contact and was completely legit.  A guy emailed me on that, Erik Young.  If you read this site Erik, thank you very much for pointing that out.  Still no excuse for Mr York's emails though.

Haven't tried to access astromart since the ban, but this may be worth keeping an eye on.  Anyone who still belongs on there have any idea?

I hadn't noticed that the previous posts were more than 20 days ago. I don't know if it was down for long.

Daniel i would like to add my 2 penny's worth - no doubt about it you received poor service here but i think your fellow uk astro members are just telling you want you want to hear - i see it on this site quite a bit in other forms - such as "fantastic shot keep up the good work" when it plainly is not a good shot -
If you deal with the public at all you will know just what a real pain in the bottom they can be, especially if you are busy-  i believe that you triggered Herb off in your first email by being a little demanding "Can you guys check up on this and find out why our emails are copied to these other places?  Please let me know the results of your investigation."

I make this assumption because Herbs later reply: " You are one of those people that think I am your slave - I assure you
I am not. I didn't care for your tone so I gave you some back - you didn't like it either."

Sorry to be so bold but if you want people on your side you have to ask in the right manner.
