Very interesting. What was the physical setup Nick - filter just in line?
Did you calibrate at all?

They provide calibration tools, and assisted with the setup, which was a Meade LPI camera with the IR filter removed.

Software and support I found excellent

A word of caution. Some of the processing techniques advocated by VREH can produce artifacts making noise appear as spectral features. If you use them, I would recommend making sure that the results are reproduceable and comparable with library spectra of the star. Also many of the comments on the website are IMO misleading and need to be taken with a (very large in some cases) pinch of salt  :surprise:
