Some interesting news from a conference held in Germany yesterday (via the VdS spectroscopy forum)
Baader showed a prototype of a new Echelle spectrograph to be sold later this year. It is called BACHES so is presumably based on the on telescope design developed by the CAOS group.

I hope Baader's "time to market" will be better than their DADOS.

So, there's some interesting choices available to the budding spectroscopist:
Star Analyser 100 -100lpm transmission grating
Rainbow Optics -200lpm transmission grating
Shelyak's LiHiResIII -1800lpm reflection grating
Baader's DADOS
SBIG's DSS7
SBIG's SGS
LaPalma ???
and now the Echelle spectroscopes from Shelyak and Baader!!!
