Hi
I have been given the chance of buying one of these fairly old mounts
Has anybody any experience with these or thoughts about them?
Also what do people think they are worth now as it could be 15 years old but does not seem very used.
Any suggestions

Hi Steve,

I have worked on a few of these. They are basically a G11 (perhaps a tiny bit smaller) with a tangent arm on the dec. This essentially means that you can't retro fit goto, but you could use digital setting circles like NGC-Max for instance. If I remember correctly, these were also available badged up as Celestron mounts.
If you want a good sturdy visual mount with an RA drive, it will be great - especially if you don't need goto. They have a great load handling and are typical Losmandy. Just remember that it's not really that  'updtaeable'. Well made and certainly useable - could be upto 20 years old though.

Hi Steve

I knew a chap who lives in Shropshire, he owns a Gm100 mount. He actually used it for guided astrophotography and took some stunning deep sky astrophoto's with it. He had a vixen 150mm ed refractor and 80mm guidescope mounted on it.

I believe he still has the mount but not the scope as I bought the scope from him. His name is Chris Maddeley, I can give you his contact details and I am sure he would be happy to tell you everything you want to know about it.

Regards
