Philips SPC800NC
« on: 18:19:12, 17 September, 2010 »
Hi all,

I'm suprised this hasn't been mentioned here yet but there's come to light a cheap source of Philips SPC880NC webcams (internally identical to the popular SPC900NC) available for £6.99 each +p&p.

I just bought one of these for £30 from ebay. I thought it was a good price since they've been going for more than that 2nd hand... now I know where he got them from!

Oh well you live and learn :-)

That would have been a great price just days ago before the webcam market imploded with the introduction of these 880 models.  Is yours flashed an all to mimic the 900nc model?

Hello !

Just want to add that this morning I used this method http://www.astro.shoregalaxy.com/neximage_windows_7.htm

and the SPC 880 webcams are recognised as SPC 99 and I have full manual control using Amcap .
I found  it easier than flashing the firmware .

Happy new year to all :D

Got one today, as I've just ordered the components from maplin to do the LX mod (SC1) on my SPC900, so
now I have a spare when I bodge the mod lol
