There are ready to use from Kendrick or AstroZap (check Green Whitch or FLO) but it seems that in Europe there are only ND5 filters from those vendors. So I'll have ND5 "visual" in the Kendrick cell for visial and imaging at f/10 or faster,  and self fitted ND 3.8 version (some shops sell big squares of the astrosolar, like TeleskopExpress) for imaging at slower than f/10 ;)

TiO filter should arrive soon (as well as nebula narrowband He-I / He-II and Ar-III :D). So first solar imaging with new filters should happen somewhere next week.

Thank you very much :)

Unfortunately even the 100X 50 Nd3.8 Baader foil is not enough for 14 ''  :(

Thank you very much , but I bought the 100X50 Baader foil two days ago .

Now i will order the 706 nm filter .

The filter is the ND 3.8 and i will try to test it with my spectrograph to see its "behaviour " .

Have you taken any photos with the 706nm filter?

Greetings from Zielona Gora
Alex

Less than a week. Now what I need is clear sky and arrival of package from Green Which (C11 astrosolar filter) which got stuck somewhere (TeleXtenders arrived in 4 days ;))

The unnamed one is the TiO filter.

Thank you once more :)
I think that this weather is not normal for Poland ath this time of year !!
Also for me for packages for England it usually takes 4-5 days to arrive .

I'm very very curious to see some results form big scopes !!

Hello everyone !

I had my first try with this filter .
It certainly helped a lot !

I used a Meade LX200GPS 14''
               NexImage with ICX 098BL sensor
               Baader Astrosolar ND 5.0

Here's my first try

For AstroSolar the TiO filter is not as good as for Herschel wedges in refractors (lacks some contrast). 590 nm yellow "He I" filter seems to give best results for me :)
