I've been doing some searching. UQG seems to offer some filters up to around 160mm, square and round.
I haven't checked prices yet.
They are one of the bigger suppliers I've found.
I haven't had a lot of luck finding sources in the USA, I did find 4X4 inch UV/IR cut filters at B&H photo.

John - UQG will also do custom quotes too for anything that isn't "in stock" so you can probably get bigger than that.

Cameras: SXVF H694, Atik 16ic, Canon EOS 600d, DMK41, DMK21, QHY 5L-II (mono & colour)

Mount: EQ6 (EQMOD), SW Star Adventurer, plus a lot (and I mean a lot) of other bits and pieces

I think all I would ever want would be 5 inch (127mm) even square if they were cheaper, not that big a deal to build a cell to hold and mount them.

If you just want to watch an eclipse or make some filters for binoculars you want shade 14 welding glass. It is not commonly stocked because it is too dark for most welding applications. Don't use the more common shade 12.

Weldmark 804514 works well and cuts easily. It starts as 4.2" x 5.25". I keep one in my solar kit to look for naked eye sun spots or to had out at eclipses.
