Oh No... not another Horse Head?
« on: 23:03:47, 18 September, 2012 »
It's that time of year again, people.....

Just before it was getting light (in fact, I am sure the last sub was after the sky started to get lighter - 05:24 am was stamped on the FITS file!) I decided to ripple off a few of the ol' fave... Last image of the Friday/Saturday session.

This is 6 x 10 minutes Ha, AA 102mm Triplet, SXVR-H16 camera, Lodestar guided on the ZS66, all on the EQ6 mount.

Processed simply in PixInsight (with Darks calibration too)... not much to do on a simple B&W.... and the framing was j-u-s-t in there...

Nicely framed: That's going to be a great image once you've added 30 x 10 minutes Ha over the course of the season.

Thanks, Andy.... btw, why is that NASA building on your head in your avatar?  :pirate:

Phil
