Wow! Great for that length of exposure. Great for *any* length of exposure!

The big sensitive pixels of the ICX285 are hard to beat!

Excellent stuff with that itsy-bitsy scope.  Dark sky plus long exposure equals great image.

Yes. I am away today but will stick my unstretched RGB stack up on DropBox when I get a moment. Would be interesting to HaRGB combine them.

I'd say your processing skills are better than mine, as I'm still a newbie on the RGB stuff,   I'll always have a go but cannot be sure it would come out as good.  I can upload the Ha stack for you if you want.

I'm happy either way. Will be tomorrow afternoon before I get a chance to do anything but if you stick your Ha stack up on DropBox, i'll have a play then. PI has a nifty HaRGB script that does most of the hard work.

Have you not seen it Phil? Seems to work very well, just need some nice data to play with it.

With added RGB!

Just to clarify, I added Rogers Ha to my RGB data (first image) using Pixinsights HaRGB combination script. This is pretty neat in that it allows you to blend HA into the red channel with a dynamic preview. It also does colour calibration of the result against an assumed average white of a star field. The two images just needed registering one against the other first. Other than some red halos around some stars caused by the difference in resolution of the two images I think it worked pretty well. Other than the HaRGB script the image has had a gentle noise reduction and a histogram stretch.
