Cocoon and some PNs
« on: 13:23:42, 22 September, 2012 »
Hi,
The Cocoon neb was from Thursday evening, very windy and only 60 frames from the 100 I took were usable.
Using the SW 200p unguided, Samsung 2001 @ 10 seconds exposure.
The planetary nebs were Saturday night, really good conditions. I imaged more objects than shown here but unfortunately focus drifted off as the night wore on and they came out rather poor.
Using the Tal 200k unguided, Samsung 2001 @ 5 seconds exp x 50. Approx 45-47 used in the final stack.

Cocoon nebular IC 5146

Blinking Nebula NGC 6826

Blue snowball nebula NGC 7662

NGC 6543

I'm still gobsmacked what that camera can do in ten seconds.

I do like the snowball above,  shows some good detail

Great stuff Barry.  Like Rog says, those planetaries are excellent for such sort subs.
