I am not aware of a limit on Photoshop uploads.  I got my Photoshop CS3 from Ebay.

My version of Photoshop (CS5 so a bit out of date) has two computer licences which are held on line at Adobe. You can un-licence and re-licence within the application so you could move licences around fairly easily.

As Ade says an older version will do you if you can find one cheap.

I've checked eBay and amazon, the prices are everywhere. I only need the basic Photoshop don't I? What price am I expected to pay? Cs11 on amazon is 60-80 pounds. Is that about right? I've looked for cs5 and below,  prices ranged from 29 pounds to 350 pounds.

Photoshop Elements 11 for 60-80 pounds sounds about right.
The full official latest version CS6 costs about 600 pounds or so.

Just a quick update, CS2 is now free http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html

Hope the link works.

Now where's the magic astro image button.
