ccd inspector
« on: 12:06:48, 20 February, 2013 »
Hi,
I have recently downloaded CCdinspector 30 days trial.
The instructions say to do real-time collimation, click on the Real-Time/Collimation Viewer menu from the main window in CCDInspector. Then start taking exposures, using your camera, and it will automatically show collimation from the most recently acquired image,  but all I get is, "waiting for image".
I am using CCDsoft with the latest update and have followed the instructions to the letter, am I missing something?..
Hopefully someone on here can help me.

Rick

When you install CCD Inspector it should install a Plug-in to the CCDSoft camera plug ins folder. With a 64 bit OS you have to manually change the path to CCDSoft to include "/Program Files (x86)/" rather than "/Program Files/" or the plug-in wont be installed.  This plug-in under CCDSoft is called something like CCD Relay Monitor and it needs to be enabled from the Events Plug-Ins tab under the setup window as below.

Hope that helps.

Chris

ps you may need to do an uninstall and then re-install rather than a repair, to get it to give you the Camera Control choice again
