Here would have been a posting ...

... but after I typed a long text and attached two images, I got the error message that the attachments were too large and everything was gone, including the text.

And I do not type all this again.

Sorry to hear that. The 500kb image size limit shouldn't be too restricting.

Hi Chris,

I've fallen for this in the past as well. Apart from composing the text in Word or copying to the clipboard beforehand, is there a way to avoid losing the text when the attachment size warning arises?

Regards, Andy

For more than a couple of lines I tend to highlight it all and do a right click>copy so the text is on the clipboard. If something goes wrong (and being in the wilds our internet access tends to fall over regularly) I can then start again with a paste.

Yep, I think we have all fallen foul of this one occasionally, you can click back on your browser and copy your text, but you do have to repost.
a quick highlight and ctrl-c is always a good idea when you have labored over some text

Sorry to hear you lost it Jeurgen, I hope you reconsider re-posting?

Hi all,

thanks for your warm words. The first thing I made was clicking backwards but the text field was empty. I had this many years ago but I thought it would be a blast of the past. I consider a repost with smaller images.

Here it is:
