Well I managed to get the wall plate fitted, squared and fixed down + 3 rafters installed before my little one wanted my attention...
She thinks it's wonderful 😁 😍

Roof frame is 95% complete. Should have this bit rapped up early next week.
Here's what it looked Like just before dark.
I'll post another pic tomorrow showing what it looks like as of 21:30 this evening.
Bare in mind, I'm not a builder or trades man of any kind; so I'm more than happy with my rate of work. 😁😁😁

Cheers dude. Nothing wrong with a 6x5 shed. I've only gone to these lengths because I have the space. The far side of the shed will house my woodworking bench, pilar drill and all sorts of fixing and finishing equipment + tea making facilities, so the building is dual purpose.

My warm room will also house ALL my books and mags and various other HOBBY related gear.... Better half wants one of the spare rooms back.

As for an warming party.... Only if my oil tank catches fire. lol. 😄

I'll let you into a secret...... My final design is to have a roll off dome. It'll allow for the rapid cooling of the observatory to ambient temperature, before rolling it back and locking it in position.
It'll look something like this..

Little bit more done this evening. Rail supports in.
Soon be on to panels and covering. Just a few odds and ends to take care of first. Such as selling a kidney as a fund raiser! 😜🔭🔭

a "roll off dome" seems a bit of a drastic solution to the cooling issue. I open the aperture + obs door and stick a bloody great fan in the doorway, soon equalises the temps.

As the saying goes; There's more than one way to skin a cat.
The observatory will be a roll off to begin with. Phase two is when I'll add a dome and that's provided I can get it right.
