This is a stack of about 10 images shot at iso800, 15 second exposures on a fixed tripod using a canon 550d with a 70-300mm lens set at 70mm.

Shot from the balcony of my flat in Seapoint, Capetown.

Taken 9/9/2015 2100m up Mt Teide on Tenerife.

We had about 1 hr 'observing' as part of the excursion. I wandered away from the main group to set up the tripod & camera and to avoid our 'starguide's laser pointer - he was actually very knowledgeable - I listened while the intervalometer did its thing.

Take with Sony a580, 6400 ISO, 35mm @f3.2 - 5 sec subs with between 25 and 50 subs per pic.

What an amazing bunch of entries so far.... thank-you all for the above entries- you guys Rock!   :urock:  :canadian:

Remember that this competition closes on Wednesday 30th September, so you only have a few days left to get your entries in, and don't worry about the full moon out there, as we are accepting entries from past imaging sessions, and also non-photographic imaging too, so get creative!

cheers all   :D
