SGP image rotation
« on: 20:20:12, 06 January, 2016 »
Evening all.

I have another question for SGP that I hope can be answered before the next clear night (so you have a couple of weeks lol)

anyway,  a few weeks ago I imaged the monkeyhead nebula in SGP but I didn't have the rotation enabled as it was at a good enough angle as it was,  however since then I have rotated the focuser/camera for another object.   Now If I want to carry on with the Monkeyhead how do I set up SGP to have a close rotation to the original one ?       If I just bring up the sequence for this image it's not going to tell me to rotate.

Hi Roger,
Try
File
New Sequence with Profile
Select Profile
in Target List Left click the Gear Wheel
Under Reference Data (J2000)
Browse to one of your Monkey Head images then Solve
Copy and Paste the Angle to Other angle. Check Rotate camera to:
OK

Cheers Nigel,

I'll give it a go,  and thought I would be able to just open an image of the monkey head and use that.  But not sure

Cheers

Hi Roger,
You can also do it by importing the image into Framing & Mosaic Wizard this will set the rotation automatically.
