Does M43 count as Orion nebula ? I have such an image too :tease:

But here's my first bicolor (Ha+OIII) + synthetic green channel image.
C8 with focal reducer, SXV-694, 6x10min + 10x3min.
Had to do OIII unguided as target was so low that my guide camera couldn't see any stars...
Tapio

Celestron C8, C9.25" & Hyperstar, iOptron CEM60-EC, TS 80 triplet,  Coronado PST, SXV-694,  ASI120MM/ASI174MC Cool

Here's mine.  I was trying to keep the core reasonably natural without going too detailed and also not over blown.

HaRGB with Ha applied as luminance.  Ha (7nm Baader) was taken with an Atik 460EXM on a William Optics GT81 with FLAT6A reducer/flattener.  RGB was taken with a QHY8L on a SW ED 80 reduced with SW 0.8x reducer/flattener.  Guided on an EQ8 with OAG and QHY5L-II M.

Hi All,

Here is my effort. Canon 450d, Skywatcher ED80, HEQ5. 24 x 10 min exposures, ISO400. I also took a few 1 min exposures for the core.

Hope you like!

Orion Nebula and friends.

This was taken this year and consists of 27 x 600s in Ha through a Canon 200mm f2.8 lens with a 3nm Ha filter and Atik 460EX mono camera. I have intentionally left the Trapezium area of M42 burnt out to better indicate the relative brightness of the nebula and the "friends".
