Try screwing one of Bern's f/1.0 Cs-mount lenses on the end and pointing it at the night sky, it's amazing. This is a 10sec exposure pointing out the Obs Cat Flap (don't ask).

Well when I first started using the shed as an Obsy (well, warm control room..) I needed a method of getting cables from inside to the scope outside - so I put a catflap in the side about 3ft off the ground. I don't need it now as the cables run out underground but I still have a catflap to look out of  ;-)

I am undecided as to whether an obsy cat flap is a good idea or not for me - I have 5 cats so it's a toss up between worrying about locking them in by accident and keeping them out when I don't want them!! Perhaps an "out only" flap would be the solution....

If it's for cables Oscar how about a letter box rather than a cat-flap ?!?!

Mine is lockable to be in/out only (or both ways or locked completely) and besides, it's about 3ft off the ground so it would have to be a pretty desperate moggy to attempt entry ;-) I need the size of the catflap because I pass the AllSky camera + cables out through it.

Cat flap, letter box or automatic ejection tool - provided it stops the cats having a cheeky wee against the pier, I'll go with it!!
