Altair Astro will be trading at the Kelling Heath Starparty in Norfolk from Thurs 7th, open again on Tues 12th April.

Last shipping day will be Wednesday 6th! Our shop will be closed and all online orders will be processed on our return.

We hope to see you at our normal Kelling Heath pitch #123 so come up to Norfolk and see one the biggest starparties in Europe!

Kelling Heath is free to day visitors, and we've a lot of astronomy equipment to sell at the show.

In fact, we need your help! We have a lot of ex demo equipment going at very low prices which we really don't want to have to take back and unpack it again :)

Certainly - here's a rough idea:

Cube PRO(s) ex demo 1 year warranty
Some Cubes (as seen but you can try them there and then - good for solar and casual observing)
SmartEQ PRO(s) ex demo 1 year warranty
iEQ30 v1 ex demo 1 year warranty
iEQ30 PRO ex review 1 year warranty
SkyGuider ex review 1 year warranty
Skytracker(s) ex review 1 year warranty
A few 80-70-72-66mm refractors unboxed ex review/ex display
More unboxed Refractors 115 EDT, 102F11 Achro, 152 Achro, 102 EDT,
For tinkerers - Some refractor tubes and lens cells on their own, also some scopes with damaged focusers for those with a little tinkering skills (optics are all OK).
14" F6.3 Truss tube dob with Orion UK deluxe super-duper optics (98 Strehl according to their test report), made with Telekit Laser Cut kit, Moonlite focuser, Astro Systems secondary holder, currently in bits, but easy enough to put all back together.
Some quad and 5-element APO samples from suppliers we decided not to go with (under my desk somewhere)
mounting hardware - too much to mention really some blemmed stuff
dew heaters and associated equipment some ex display
somewhere we have a box of unsorted adapters - last I saw it could still be carried by one person !
eyepieces - too many to count, some ex demo ex review
Minitower & Minitower PRO ex Demo
Some 8x32" Steel piers with dings but functionally perfect (ping us if you're keen as you'll need to ensure you have space to take them back)
Filters and accessories with squashed boxes but otherwise perfect in their cases
Diagonals with damaged boxes but otherwise perfect (fork lift tines are quire sharp)
Diagonals which didn't make it and got dinged but optics perfect for tinkering
Couple of 8" RCs metal tubes scratched at shows
8" CF tube RC ex demo near perfect
10" Deepfield sent for review/testing (Francis) and now back
Quite a few Mono and Colour GPCAMs from reviews/bloggers/demo/etc. - around 10x units I think.

that's not to mention the new stuff! We'll have a few specials as usual too.

Before every Kelling Heath, we go through the building for a bit of a spring clean. 4 floors and 3 cellars do tend to turn up a few weird and wonderful items, plus we have a lot of engineering samples and a lot of manufacturers send us free stuff to try out, so there's probably more.

Anyway, feel free to clean us out guys, we really don't want have to transport this stuff back :)
