Kelling April 2016 - Globs and Galaxies in a Gale
« on: 13:37:02, 12 April, 2016 »
Anybody who was there on the Wednesday night (and Sunday for that matter) will know it was a tad 'gusty', which made guiding somewhat challenging. Don't look too closely at any of these as the stronger gusts regularly resulted in excursions of near enough an arc minute! The multiple targets was my way of trying to find a direction where the scope was less effected...failed!

I agree with Dave,
They are very good images. Especially Messier 13.

I like that image because the core isn't blown out, but. It also appears similar to a view through a medium sized telescope (10" etc)

I can even see, the propeller.

Cheers guys. I lost about 40% of subs from the wednesday night and that was setting a roundness threshold of 65%, I normally discard anything less than 85%. As well as the gusts of wind, Rog and I had consumed rather large amounts of ale followed by dark rum. I only realised I had so many subs on so many targets once I had got home!

Nice set Chris besides the conditions of both the weather and the influx of Kraken.
