Asteroid Vesta in Cancer.
« on: 19:35:47, 27 December, 2016 »
Think I'm posting in the right forum, even though it's a "Widefield" shot and an "Asteroid" shot, it's most certainly a "beginner" in the realms of imaging skills!!

Low hazy cloud has got in the way a bit on the 27th Dec shot, although not enough to mask Vesta.
Treated ourselves to this Samyang lens a couple of months back and delighted with it.  :big_clap:

23rd Dec shot taken at Jpeg only in camera, so only slight "tweaking" in Photoshop possible, 27th correctly shot in RAW and I've tried to remove the hazy cloud as well as I could.
Stop laughing   :harhar:

That's very good.
Vesta has moved a fair bit since last year.

Now I  know where it is. I will try to image it myself. I  think it's near M44

Further shots with the Samyang as Vesta works it's way towards Gemini.
