i give ngc 2244 another go tonite 16 ten minute subs iso 1600not very good image  i used my hydrogen alpha 12 na filter i think its a bit better than my last rossett  image looks like it needs moor subs allmost three hours at iso 1600 i thought it would have been enough the moon was one day after first quater was not very far from the rossett nebula i lost some subs because of passing clouds  but ther we are its all fun  all images taken with my intervalomiter handy gadgit feed back good and bad wellcome

If you look back on your images from 6 months ago I think you will see you have come a long way. With a 12nm Ha that moon would have robbed you of some contrast plus your DSLR is not as efficient at turning Ha photons into electrons so all in all I reckon thats pretty fine.

Yep I agree with Chris, 

Your getting there.   One question though,  is this just the red channel ?    As there seems to be a colour gradient on the LHS

thanks chaps yes it wasa only the red channal in channals in photo shop every time i made an adjust ment in curves all colour channals were highlited  so i clicked just red channal the moon was close to the rosettits a bit noisey because i used 1600 iso and 10 minute subs i found a tutorial on u tub noise redution blending modes but its only good for other objects but thanks for the compliments it turned out not to bad
