Comparing QHY5LII with QHY5III174 on Jupiter

Hi
A quick session last night for a side by side comparison of the different generation of cmos cameras. The QHY5lII using the MT9M034 (aka AR0130cs) sensor and the QHY5III174 using the IMX174 sensor.
The set up was Tal 200k and Altair x3 barlow with manual RGB filter wheel.

The obvious difference is image scale due to the smaller pixels on the MT9M034.
So the second image is scaled up 1.5 with the drizzle feature in AS3.

Yes I would agree.
What isn't apparent from resultant images is difficulty in processing. Registax really struggled with the data from the AR0130 cam. AS3 had no issues.
The 174 data scored higher in quality allowing more frames to be stacked.
Still, AR0130 based cam's are good value for budget systems.
