canon 1300D modified
« on: 16:56:13, 28 May, 2017 »
Hi all, im looking at buying a DSLR purely for astro work, i have been a Nikon fan for years but due to a water leak have been left with a camera.  I have been following forums and canon appear to be the brand to go for for astro work, as with most people budget is tight and I have been looking at a modified 1200D for a half decent price, my question is what is this particular  model like for this kind of work, is it worth spending a few extra quid to buy a different model,  thanks in advance.    Pete

I'd say a used 1200D (and even older generation models) is a good and cost effective way to get your feet wet.
