Pretty new to this astro imaging mularky
« on: 22:21:17, 28 May, 2017 »
Hi,

Im pretty new to astro photography and was wondering how this image stacks up on the grand scheme of things.  I think is about my 4th time out to try to image the Milky Way and my first time with my new lens and iOptron skytraker pro, im trying to get to grips with this kinda of shot before I attempt to move on to deep space objects.
This was 2 images blended together, taken with a Fuji XT-2 & Samyang 12mm.
The background image was a 1 min exposure @ ISO 1000 using a iOptron skytracker pro

Very pleasing image. I think given the time of year and lack of dark nights you may find it easier to take some more of this type of image until the skies darken if you don't want to add to the many challenges deep sky imaging presents. ATB Jim

Welcome to UKAI John.

Nice intro image though I would be tempted to darken the sky a tad more.

That is very, very good.

Chris has said. The sky needs to be, a tad darker.
