Eclipsing binary star DO Cas
« on: 17:46:49, 01 August, 2017 »
Finally did some astro last night. This is the primary minimum of the eclipsing binary star DO Cas. I did spend the whole of the previous night getting data on a different star only to have to delete the lot as the important stars were saturated and so could not be analysed.
Taken with my Megrez 90 + 0.8x FR and Atik 460EX CCD camera
Each dot represents a 10 sec exposure taken at approx 40 sec intervals.

Superb - a very tidy result. The minimum fell at a very fortuitous time considering the short nights :)

Thanks Tom. I actually chose that target because the minimum was predicted to happen at that time.
