Ring Nebula
« on: 15:04:42, 14 August, 2017 »
Testing out my new Rising Tech IMX224 camera (looks a lot like an AltairAstro but is £60 cheaper) and got this of the Ring- of which I am reasonably pleased. Lots of Moonlight around so even more pleasing.

Thanks. The gain was pretty high (1500 was the mark in SharpCap). DSS does so much better a job than Registax. The iPhone Photoshop app also adds a lot.

Registax is really meant for solar system objects.

Colour could do with a tweak but that's some great detail for such short subs

Thanks. What would you use to do the tweaking?

Colour levels in Photoshop will do the trick  (a little less green)
