CCD window blowing dust off
« on: 12:33:33, 18 September, 2017 »
Chaps,

anyone know how to blow any dust off a CCD window when it has a mechanical shutter.
The only way I can thing of is taking a exposure to open the shutter then blowing.

Be very careful!

The shutters on these are pretty delicate and won't take kindly to a big puff from a rocket blower. I took my 383L apart so the shutter was off it altogether and then cleaned the window with CCD cleaner and wipe.
