Coranado 60mm Double Stack
« on: 12:01:53, 26 September, 2017 »
Whilst at Kelling Heath I pondered purchasing some form of Ha observing a Lunt or Coranado maybe. At first I could not see a Lunt  any where then I spied this Coranado 60mm double stack, most people said buyer beware, some have tried to get an image but to no avail. Well as I looked at it i thought apart from broken or rusty glass what could be wrong, so I bought it  8)  Then all the Lunts appeared from nowhere grrrrr still with a BF 15 blocker and a Double stack I was a tentative happy bunny.
I took it over to my old friend Tim (thank you Tim) and we proceeded to take the beast to task. We did get an image but very very dark, removing the Double Stack gave a brighter image but I could not make out any detail apart from a faint sun spot. we adjusted every tuning device but no improvement.
If there are any Coranodo 6omm Double stack owners somewhere near Clacton On Sea who would not mind me trying my Double stack and BF15 in there equipment  for a process of elimination I would be very gratefull.

There seems to be a lot of muck in the BF Diagonal, what are your thoughts on cleaning ?
