Sunset 040630
« on: 20:12:22, 01 July, 2004 »
Hi all,

There were some really pretty coloured clouds over me last night, and JPEG doesn't really do them justice.

They're much more vivd in my TIFFs :D

Cheers

Thanks Wolfgang.

The colour is a lot more subtle and more pink in the TIFF image. Much prettier. Never mind, you get the idea :D

Cheers

I really like that Nick... but then again I do have a soft spot for sunset colour on cloud.

Good stuff

Nice shot Nick - one for the Gallery?

Looks like you had the sort of evening we had up here.  It was a bit cloudy just after sundown, but went crystal clear for an hour or so after that.

It was the same here, had a fantastic sunset last night and then around 11:30 totally cleared...

Shame about the full moon. Looking forward to getting a few DSO's tomorrow night - M20 is on my list Oh and M17 for the comp!

Beautiful shot Nick, well defined treeline too.  Which lens did you use?

I must admit I too am a softie for cludy sunset pics.  :)

Thanks all for the comments :D

I used the standard 18-55mm lens that came with the Canon 300D.

I'm a real softy for cloud shots, sunset or not. I'm amassing them at quite a rate, what with the clear skies we're having at the moment

Cheers all
