The Double Cluster.
« on: 12:26:18, 28 December, 2017 »

Last night started out clear and very cold. So it enabled me to continue using my new Tamron zoom lens. The AF70-300mm Di is very good for day time photography. But. It is sadly not all that hot for imaging a starry sky.

The problem is coma. However. I have StarTools which is able to remove the comets, that are stars.

Here is just over an hours worth of 180 second unguided subs off. The Double cluster.

I have taken the time to pull out the star colours and flattened the field with a master flat during stacking. Various other tools were applied thanks to Mr Carboni.

I hope you like it.
Paul.

I do like the double cluster,     I think that it's better visually TBH.   ( but that's just me) lol.

Well done

Thank you, Roger.

I agree. It is better seen visually than digitally.
