Abell 1367
« on: 18:05:17, 02 May, 2018 »
My last processed spring target was this Leo cluster at 330 mly away.
And my main target was to catch at least two of the included quasars.
And despite my badly working flats I succeeded. The third would have been about mag 21 so getting it would have been major triumph (for me and my equipment and conditions).

Here's some info of the field.

Lovely image....its amazing to think that only a few years ago it would never have been possible to image a quasar and to do it with such moderate equipment
an AG12 and a few other bits

Nicely done Tapio. Mag 21 is a BIG stretch.

Thanks all.
Must see sometimes if I could catch even the mag 21 quasar.
Peter - well the brightest quasar (3C 273) is mag 12.9 so quite easy with modest equipment.
