NGC 6960

NGC 6960
This is a 2er mosaic with the following data:
- 10 "F4 Carbon Newton
- ASI 294MMC
- IDAS V4 filter
- Lodestar OAG Guiding
- AZ EQ6 PRO
Total exposure 50 x 900s (each 25 x 900s per image)
Color calibration was done with REGIM, editing with Fitswork (make mosaic), Startools and PS3.
First my own criticism.
The GPU does not create a distortion-free image, so the barbed stars on the edge.
The picture is a bit tormented, only so I could make the details clearly visible.
The star colors do not, that's because of the V4 filter.
This is a pseudo narrowband filter that lets only Ha and O3 through.
This is how the stars look red / green.
My conclusion, unlike my M27, is much more difficult with the object here.
Is a nice gimmick, but not a real narrow band.
Positive is the focus stable Newton and there is no color mixing. The shot was reduced to 50% and the upper edge removed. 2760 x 1723 pixels:

Very nice.
Didn't know Idas has such filter.

Really stands out well,
not keen on green stars, you could probably sort them out with hasta la vista green.

Not if you use a star mask first  ;)
