vdb 136
« on: 13:18:46, 12 September, 2018 »
I have struggled to get the data for this one as I have had a lot of cloudy nights I have made a Ha RGB image of vdb 136 in Cygnus imaged over three nights it would have been nice to have more data but I will leave it at this for now.

11 x 900 of Ha un binned
RGB of 5 x 300 each binned 2 x 2

WO 90 megrez scope at F 5.5
QHY9m camera

Thanks Chris I think the Ha data helps bring out more detail.

Thanks Peter I used to use my OSC camera for colour but I am finding that the mono camera does a good job through the filters and I am now using pixinsight which is a great help in processing.

Never used Pixinsight Ive seen some of the tutorials and it looks like a real nice bit of software. I have seen some stunning images taken with OSC but mono is more flexible

I still use Photoshop mainly but find that pixinsight has some powerful features especially blending Ha with RGB I still use my QHY8 Pro OSC camera I intend using it a bit more now that I have set up a TS 65 scope on my other mount a bit more tweaking still required when the clouds clear to get it on line.
