sh2-102
« on: 16:46:00, 14 September, 2018 »
It's been a year since I have been able to do some imaging. Not only because of the weather but I've had the mount moded with the Rowan belt drive and removed the thin metal adjusters and fitted the MkIII EQ6 Wedge. Just when all was ready I had a stroke >:( >:(. I'm pretty much recovered from that but I have had to start from square one with realigning the scope by drift aligning (next doors tree blocks Polaris).
Being stupid I thought I'd start with a faint Sharpless object just to get my hand in!
This is SH2-102 in Cygnus. Just the Ha to begin with (don't want to make life too difficult).
The nebula lies down the centre North/South. The super giant Cygnus 41 is just off the bottom  but still casts a bit of light over the image.

Details:
Takahashi Epsilon 180 @f2.8
Ha 2hrs 30min in 5 minute subs
Atik 4021

Comments please.

Sorry to hear you had a stroke but glad you have made a full recovery . A great shot but talk about making things difficult for yourself staring with off with a target like this... :big_clap:
an AG12 and a few other bits
