Hubble before and after deep impact image

Found this at the NASA site.

It was supposed to be mag 10 before, looks considerably brighter afterwards,  maybe up to mag 7 or 8.

Am I being a bit unfair? Not a stunning shot from Hubble IMHO :roll: I reckon amatuers could do better than that. Maybe it is a raw image.
